Introduction to Laser Acupuncture Laser acupunture is a modern development in this age old
technique from Chine. Acupunture has undergone many new developments
since it has gained popularity in the west. With the aid of modern
technology accupuncture has now been transformed into an easy to
practice alternative way to get treatment for illnesses. Although
this form of acupuncture is less visually disturbing it is still
quite complex. There are no set acupoints or specific lasers for
rather one must educate themselves in order to benefit from this
technique. It is however a painless and non invasive form of
acupuncture as it involves no needles. The skin of the patient is
burnt by a laser at specific acupoints generating the same effects
as normal acupunture.

Be informed the laser accupuncture is not yet considered to have any
medical claims of curing its patients. This is because it is still
considered to be in the initial experiment stages. In many states
laser acupuncture is not recognized with the scope of medical
practice. In some cases where the acupuncturist does not claim to
make any medical claims of cures it is being allowed to function.

because it can be dangerous. A faulty session may result in further
damage in dire consequences.

There have been some reported benefits of laser acupunture however.
Amongst the most commonly treated illnesses through laser therapy is
back pain and other pains in the bones. In the treatment of wound
healing and post herpetic neuralgia laser therapy has reportedly has
given positive results. This form of acupuncture is more or less in
the development stage.
