The ancient technique of acupunture has been used to cure various
illnesses since over 2000 years ago. Now this old technique has met
the West which has resulted in great advancements in medical
sciences. It is increasingly gaining popularity and is being
considered as the natural alternative to medication. Many schools
have opened up in the West with the aim to specialize and popularize
this for of treatment. Moreover the modern advancements in science
and technology have led to many new developments with the field of
acupunture which is very beneficial to mankind.

Traditionally acupunture was considered as the all around solution

believed the body has acupoints that can be worked upon for all
possible diseases from everyday health issues like a headache to
more complex health problems. With the aid of modern technology the
effects of acupuncture as a treatment have been tested and proved on
various diseases. For diseases like allergic rhinitis,
oestearthritis, lumbas and cervical spondylitis it has been
established that acupuncture is very effective.
Among other medical conditions that respond best to acupunture are
rheumatoid arthritis, migraine, buerges’s disease. Moreover it is
commonly used for back pain, diabetes and blood pressure as it has a
soothing effect on the body and helps the patient relax. It has also
been established that acupuncture is an effective way to manage
conditions like bronchial asthma, Eczema, obesity and post operative
pain relieve. There are some conditions like infertility to which
acupunture can be of very little help.
